New year's night.. (poem by me)

Today when the last sun of 2010 rose,I thought of a new sun,new morning which will bring hopes, pleasures and joys for all of us and our country. When I looked back in past I realized that peace of heart is something which we cannot get by going into caves and passing rest of life in solitary, but by sharing the sorrows of other people. We can achieve happiness, and can make others happy by our presence. There is just a little need of painting a rainbow full of love, joy, happiness, care and affection on the sky of our heart!
Here are few poetic lines, few random thoughts of mine.
(I know its not perfect, honest comments are appreciated)

As I pass through the autumn fields,
And the leaves crushing beneath my feet.

The  rhythm of  love and joy prevails,
As  I   silently  swish     my       trails.

Beyond my thoughts,away from hopes,
Soothing is my land, fresh is my soul.

Finding serene in a solitary bliss,
Hidden is the sanity,in the dewy eye drips,

As December sets,a new sun rise,
Enlightens new hopes,reviving fresh lives

Lets join hands,wipe weary eyes,
This is how,I rejoice New Year's night.

WISH YOU AL   "A HAPPY NEW YEAR"

Bomb Blast in Karachi university

Few days ago I made a post about the poor situations in Karachi University. No worse can happen in KU than what has happened today.A bomb blast in cafeteria. It seems that the target were Imamia students who just started prayers of "Zohrain".
Bomb was planted in the roots of a tree.It is an important point to be noted that the university was off for last three days then how came a terrorist enter in university and planted a cracker bomb?I speculate that the terrorist are from the inside university. Whoever, tried to destroy the peace of "Madre Ilmi" had definitely no heart, and no sentiments for a peaceful environment.True, that administration of KU has failed totally to maintain the law and order conditions.I cant understand that when Respected Vice Chancellor Peer Zada Qasim cant handle the situation then why is he still enjoying the designation? He must save the lives of innocent students by leaving his designation. Its the time for the Governor of Sindh to take the right actions.
Moreover,Registrar and VC both the respected personalities are busy in making non serious statements. It is not less than a crime to mentally torture thousands of statements by passing contradictory statements.KU rejects its own statement by making another brand new statement just after an hour or two.Students are getting psycho, glued with the TV screens all the time waiting for other fresh updates. It should be remembered that due to this much of important time of a student is wasted which he would prefer to spend in studying.KU after the blast announced three days mourning, but after an hour news channels ran the ticker that VC has taken this decision back. After an hour there was another news that again the papers have been canceled.Details come even after wasting some more time that only papers for tomorrow have been postponed. No news for the next two days.
Such an unfriendly, non serious behaviors from the high officials of Pakistan's famous university has now become its identity. Where are we leading to?

Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah

No doubt, there are many people who do not quite appreciate when we talk of Islam. Islam is not only a set of rituals, traditions and spiritual doctrines. Islam is also a code for every Muslim, which regulates his life and his conduct in even politics and economics and the like. It is based upon highest principles of honour, integrity, fair play and justice for all.” (Jinnah, 5th March 1948)
Come forward as servants of Islam, organize the people economically, socially, educationally and politically and I am sure that you will be a power that will be accepted by everybody.
Expect the best, Prepare for the worst.

Failure is a word unknown to me.

Islam expect every Muslim to do this duty, and if we realize our responsibility time will come soon when we shall justify ourselves worthy of a glorious past.
My message to you all is of hope, courage and confidence. Let us mobilize all our resources in a systematic and organized way and tackle the grave issues that confront us with grim determination and discipline worthy of a great nation.

No nation can rise to the height of glory unless your women are side by side with you.
No struggle can ever succeed without women participating side by side with men.

Our object should be peace within, and peace without. We want to live peacefully and maintain cordial friendly relations with our immediate neighbours and with the world at large.
Pakistan not only means freedom and independence but the Muslim Ideology which has to be preserved, which has come to us as a precious gift and treasure and which, we hope other will share with us.

That freedom can never be attained by a nation without suffering and sacrifice has been amply borne out by the recent tragic happenings in this subcontinent.
There are two powers in the world; one is the sword and the other is the pen. There is a great competition and rivalry between the two. There is a third power stronger than both, that of the women.

Think 100 times before you take a decision, But once that decision is taken, stand by it as one man.

With faith, discipline and selfless devotion to duty, there is nothing worthwhile that you cannot achieve.

Happy Quaid's Day to all my fellow Pakistanis.
&
Happy Christmas to all my christian brothers
Last  year i found some very interesting but rare images of Quaid. You may like to view them. click here

Magical Hair Oil?

Have you heard of any magical hair oil which is capable of growing your hairs atleast a meter long? You don't need to wait long, only three bottles of oil will show a magic on you.Do you believe on such myths? If not, then cool you have something in similar with the author.

I never believe blindly and pay no attention to such advertisements. To my surprise, yesterday i noticed a BIG difference in the hairs of a baby girl and her mother who lives in our street. When asked,I was informed that they both have been using the same oil for a month.I was quite impressed of course.Seems its a time to believe on myths.Sometimes they strangely turn into reality. My intriguing nature took me to the lady who provides and prepares that oil. She is a beautician from America and claims to have an experience of several years. She checked my hairs(which are a bit longer than shoulder length) and passed a smile. She told me that she can grow my hairs till half of my waist just in four months. In six months they will grow till my knees. She strictly warned me that i should not use this oil for more than six months.According to her, this oil is alot energetic,it doesn't only grow hairs but also make them thick, shiny and healthy. Moreover it also strengthens brain.

She is also treating my skin.I have few pimples of which i always remain extra conscious.Believe me,I just have used her medicines twice and i can notice a REAL difference. All the pimples are now drying off.(which were quite fresh before using her cream).I noticed a girl who had lots and lots of pimples, and a land of moon like face. She treated her also, leaving all of us bewildered!I m really impressed and  gonna order some oil bottles too :D

Surprises and shocks which I have given you haven't finished yet.She also have a very awesome treatment for weight loss. All herbal so no worries.People told me that her daughter has lost some extra pounds in just three months.when i got to know about it, i expressed my desire for weight loss hurriedly. But she rejected my desire and declared that you don't need to lose any. However,on my requests she will give me medicine for weight loss which I will use only for a month. She thinks a month use of medicine is ok for me.

She doesn't like being advertised. She sells her products to only near-by people or to some famous beauty Saloons. So dear readers, wish me luck.In my fantasy I'm a princess now, perfect in everything by these magical herbal products;)

P.S All images are random

UPDATE: I have tried her treatments, and i really coulnot find any difference. Oil increased the hair fall problem. Whereas pimples dried off, but it also dried my skin terribly!

Pityable students of Karachi University

Once again the most instable university ,"Karachi University " of the most unpredictable city has postponed exams for an unknown time limit due to some unknown reasons.

It is forth time in this semester that the admin of KU has postponed the ongoing exams. Not to mention that students and teachers both are in mental trouble and distress.A private news channel has reported that due to some clashes among student unions, administration of KU has cancelled all the due exams on 21st-dec-2010 and 22-dec-2010.
Moreover it was also reported that some famous student union of KU has threatened that if today university remains open then All Paksitan and all world will see its aftermath.
Therefore, to make sure the security of thousands of students lives and teachers,KU decides to shutt of for two days.
This isnot the first time that exams in KU havebeen postponed due to war inside" MADR-E-ILMI".Specially in this semester situation has turned worse. One thing is a fact that the administration of KU has failed badly in controlling the inside situation of the university. They have failed to control clashes of student unions, yet banning the political activities and students union totally  is a far fetched idea.

I on the behalf of all my unfortunate fellow students of KU appeal to the Governor,Vice chancellor, and Registar to please look into the matter CAREFULLY.There is a STRONG need of measures to be taken by the authorities to prevent any such mishaps in the future.KU is a place where youth of tomorrow is formed. Please build confidence in them instead of damaging their personalities by constant growing fears of instabilities and nepotism. We need your help, please save us!

Two days ago I made a post "Blasphemy laws-Amendment required?" which inturned created a long debate. The quotation from Scholar Ebtisam Elahi Zaheer couldnot be varified from contemporary Tafseers and translation in Quran. However it as now been proved from ancient tafseers and Jalalian.

Quotation mentioned in the last post was: "In quran para 19, first rakoo a whole incident has been mentioned where Holy Prophet himself killed a person who would make fun of his face.Naouzubillah." It was also published in a local newspaper Ummat on 23/Nov/2010.Since, it was a hard time for me to make people believe that a scholar knows more than a common man,we with our limited knowledge can never be in a position to challenge his qualification.I,therefore decided to contact the scholar and the newspaper. I earlier tried to explainto my respected readers that Quran is a complex book and we often need the help from scholars to get the better understanding of it.Thatshwy we have tafseers after all.But few irritating people just like crticising instead of appreciation of the good work.I was even tagged as a "Blasphemer" astaghfirullah.May my Allah forgives them amin (as its a big sin to call a Muslim blasphemer, you are no one to attribute someone so until he/she is proved guilty by court,Strange on the other hand, they consider Asiya the cursed lady an innocent one who was proved guilty by court as she repeartedly passed derogatory comments about Holy Prophet in public and in court"

Here in this post I'll prove that the mentioned incidence from Quran was not mis represented and you can find it in tafseers.Below is the verse from 19th para first rakoo.
Translation:
And (remember) the Day when the Zâlim (wrong-doer, oppressor, polytheist, etc.) will bite at his hands, he will say: "Oh! Would that I had taken a path with the Messenger ( Muhammad SAW). (Al-Furqan 25:27)
"Ah! Woe to me! Would that I had never taken so-and-so as a friend! (Al-Furqan 25:28)
"He indeed led me astray from the Reminder (this Qur'ân) after it had come to me. And Shaitân (Satan) is ever a deserter to man in the hour of need." (Al-Furqan 25:29).

Here do keep in mind the bold translated verse i.e friend.
I'm going to quote respected scholar below:

1.(On the day when the wrong-doer gnaweth his hands…) [25:27]. ‘Ata’ al-Khurasani reported that Ibn ‘Abbas said: “Ubayy ibn Khalaf used to go to the Prophet, Allah bless him and give him peace, keep his company and listen to his speech without believing in him. ‘Uqbah ibn Abi Mu‘ayt, then, rebuked him for doing so, and so this verse was revealed about it”. Said al-Sha‘bi: “ ‘Uqbah [ibn Abi Mu‘ayt] was a friend of Umayyah ibn Khalaf. When ‘Uqbah embraced Islam, Umayyah said to him: ‘I do not want to ever see you if you follow Muhammad’. ‘Uqbah disbelieved again and renounced Islam to please his friend, and so Allah, exalted is He, revealed this verse”. Other commentators of the Qur’an said: “Ubayy ibn Khalaf and ‘Uqbah ibn Abi Mu‘ayt were allies. It was the habit of ‘Uqbah, upon returning from a travel, to invite the nobles of his people to eat with him. ‘Uqbah also used to keep the company of the Messenger of Allah, Allah bless him and give him peace. He returned one day from one of his travels, made some food and invited people and the Messenger of Allah, Allah bless him and give him peace, to eat. When the food was placed before the invitees, the Messenger of Allah, Allah bless him and give him peace, said to him: ‘I will not eat your food until you bear witness that there is no deity except Allah and that I am the Messenger of Allah’. ‘Uqbah said: ‘I bear witness that there is no deity except Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah’, upon which the Messenger of Allah, Allah bless him and give him peace, ate from his food. Ubayy was absent on that occasion. But when he was informed of what had happened, he said to ‘Uqbah: ‘You have renounced the religion of your forefathers?’ ‘Uqbah said: ‘By Allah, I did not. I had a man in my house who refused to eat my food unless I bore witness to him and I was ashamed to let him leave my house without him eating, and so I bore witness to him and he ate my food’. Ubayy said to him: ‘I will never be happy with you until you go to him, spit on his face and step on his neck’. ‘Uqbah did just that, and the Messenger of Allah, Allah bless him and give him peace, said to him: ‘If I ever meet out of Mecca, I will behead you’. ‘Uqbah was later killed while in captivity at Badr. As for Ubayy ibn Khalaf, the Prophet, Allah bless him and give him peace, killed him in a duel at Uhud. And so Allah, exalted is He, revealed about ‘Uqbah and Ubayy this verse”. Said al-Dahhak: “When ‘Uqbah spat on the face of the Messenger of Allah, Allah bless him and give him peace, his spit split into two and flew back on ‘Uqbah’s face. This caused both his cheeks to burn and the scars resulting from this burning remained visible until he died”.

2. And [it will be] a day when the wrongdoer, the idolater, ‘Uqba b. Abī Mu‘ayt — who had uttered the two-part profession [‘there is no god but God, Muhammad (s) is His Messenger’] but retracted it in order to please Ubayy b. Khalaf — will bite his hands, in regret and anguish on the Day of Resurrection, saying, ‘O (yā is for drawing attention) would that I had followed a way with the Messenger!, Muhammad (s), a route to guidance.

The above Quote is from Waheedi.'Alī ibn Ahmad al-Wahidi, Asbab al-Nuzul 'Alī ibn Ahmad al-Wāhidī (d. 468/1075), the earliest scholar of the branch of the Qur'anic sciences known as Asbāb al-Nuzūl (i.e. the contexts and occasions of the Revelation of the Qur'an). Al-Wāhidī and subsequent scholars aimed to collect and systemize information concerning all the known reasons and contexts for the Revelation of particular Qur'anic verses. This translation by Mokrane Guezzou represents the first accurate and reliable English translation of this seminal work.

About the translator

Mr. Mokrane Guezzou is a British-Algerian translator of major Islamic works. His translation of Tanwīr al-Miqbās min Tafsīr Ibn 'Abbās also appears in the Great Tafsirs of the Qur'an series. He is also the translator of Ibn 'Atā Allāh al-Iskandarī's Al-Qasd al-Mujarrad fī Ma'rifat al-Ism al-Mufrad (forthcoming with Fons Vitae).

3.Quotation from tafseer of abdullah ibne abbar radi allahu anhu* تفسير Tanwîr al-Miqbâs min Tafsîr Ibn ‘Abbâs
                                    { وَيَوْمَ يَعَضُّ ٱلظَّالِمُ عَلَىٰ يَدَيْهِ يَقُولُ يٰلَيْتَنِي ٱتَّخَذْتُ مَعَ ٱلرَّسُولِ سَبِيلاً }
(On the day when the wrong-doer) the disbeliever, i.e. 'Uqbah Ibn Ma'it (gnaweth his hands) his fingers, (he will say: Ah, would that I had chosen a way together with the messenger (of Allah)) would that I had chosen, and were upright in following the religion of the Prophet!

4.There are many other incidents in which it is mentioned that Rasool salal laho aliehi wasalam has announced death penalty to those who insulted him.According to hadith of Bukharee Kaab bin ashraf was killed by Muhammad bin maslama and Abu rafay yahoode was killed by abdullah bin ateeq. As far as the mentioned incidence from para 19 is concerned,it has also been explained here and is quoted in books of tafseers.
The whole incident quoted in Ummat newspaper is also mentioned in the book "Asbabe Nazool"by Waheedi.

5.Abu Dawood (4361) narrated from Ibn ‘Abbaas that a blind man had a freed concubine (umm walad) who used to insult the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) and say bad things about him. He told her not to do that but she did not stop, and he rebuked her but she did not heed him. One night, when she started to say bad things about the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) and insult him, he took a short sword or dagger, put it on her belly and pressed it and killed her. The following morning that was mentioned to the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him). He called the people together and said, “I adjure by Allah the man who has done this action and I adjure him by my right over him that he should stand up.” The blind man stood up and said, “O Messenger of Allaah, I am the one who did it; she used to insult you and say bad things about you. I forbade her, but she did not stop, and I rebuked her, but she did not give up her habit. I have two sons like pearls from her, and she was kind to me. Last night she began to insult you and say bad things about you. So I took a dagger, put it on her belly and pressed it till I killed her.” Thereupon the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Bear witness, there is no blood money due for her.”

6.The Sunnah, Abu Dawood (2683) narrated that Sa’d ibn Abi Waqqaas said: “On the Day of the Conquest of Makkah, the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) granted safety to the people except for four men and two women, and he named them, and Ibn Abi Sarh… As for Ibn Abi Sarh, he hid with ‘Uthmaan ibn ‘Affaan, and when the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) called the people to give their allegiance to him, he brought him to stand before the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him). He said, “O Prophet of Allaah, accept the allegiance of ‘Abd-Allaah.” He raised his head and looked at him three times, refusing him, then he accepted his allegiance after the third time. Then he turned to his companions and said: “Was there not among you any smart man who could have got up and killed this person when he saw me refusing to give him my hand and accept his allegiance?” They said, “We do not know what is in your heart, O Messenger of Allaah. Why did you not gesture to us with your eyes?” He said, “It is not befitting for a Prophet to betray a person with a gesture of his eyes.”

Blasphemy laws-Amendment required?

Blasphemy laws in Pakistan have been critized lately. It seems to have two parties concerning the issue.
One who wants the blasphemy laws to be amended or reviewed and the second who wants no change in it.I shall try to describe what blasphemy actually is and what Islam orders us about blaspehmours in the light of Quran.
Blasphemy is“offense of speaking sacrilegiously about God or sacred things”. Countries use blasphemy laws to victimize non-members of, and dissident members of, the ruling sect or cult. Countries with a state religion are the most punitive users of blasphemy laws.[8][9][9][10][11]

Blasphemy in Judaism:
In the third book of the Torah, Leviticus 24:16 states that those who speak blasphemy "shall surely be put to death"by stoning. The blasphemer was to be taken outside the camp, and all who heard him should lay their hands upon his head; then all the congregation should stone him. Leviticus also provides an example of an Israelite mixed blood (having an Egyptian father) being stoned to death after getting into a fight with a Hebrew and cursing the Name of the Hebrew God.
Ref: Blasphemy in Judanism

 Blasphemy in Christianity:
Christian theology condemns blasphemy. One verse from the Bible that directly concerns the sin reads as follows:
Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain. (Exodus 20:7 KJV)
In addition, it is spoken of in the Mark 3:29, where blaspheming the Holy Spirit is spoken of as unforgivable - the eternal sin.Blasphemy has been condemned as a serious, or even the most serious, sin by the major creeds and Church theologians.A seventeenth century Act Concerning Religion in Maryland stated that whoever shall "Blaspheme GOD, that is curse him, or deny that JESUS CHRIST our Savior to be the Son of God, or deny the Holy Trinity… shall be punished with death, and forfeiture of all of his or her Lands and Goods…."[1]

Blasphemy in other religions:
There are no formal concepts of blasphemy in Budhism and Hinduism yet the Buddhist Eightfold Path requires a practitioner to cultivate "right speech," which includes no abusive language, gossip, lying, or slander.        Moreover, despite the general tolerance and pluralism of the Hindu religion, the attitude of some Hindus toward people of Veda-rejecting faiths, such as Jains and Buddhists, is similar to those who condemn blasphemy.

Blasphemy Laws in several countries:
Blasphemy laws exist in several countries, such as in: Austria (Articles 188, 189 of the penal code); Denmark (Paragraph 140); Finland (Section 10 of chapter 17); Germany (Article 166); Greece; Ireland; Iceland; Italy; The Netherlands (Article 147 of the penal code); New Zealand Section 123 of the Crimes Act 1961); Norway (section 142 of the the Norwegian Penal Code never applied); Spain (Article 525 of the penal code); and Switzerland (Article 261 of the penal code).

Blasphemy in Islam:
Blasphemy in Islam constitutes speaking ill God, of the prophet Muhammad, any other prophet mentioned in the Qur'an, or of any biblical prophets. For those who blaspheme by attacking the Qur'an or the Prophet, the Qur'an says that the punishment shall be "execution, or crucifixion, or the cutting off of hands and feet from opposite sides, or exile from the land: That is their disgrace in this world, and a heavy punishment is theirs in the Hereafter" (Surah Al-Maidah 5:33).
Read about punishment of blasphemy in light of religious scriptures.
Ref:Wikipedia and Blasphemy in different religions.

Blasphemy in Pakistan:
Hence it has been proved that blasphemy laws are not only a product of Islam but all religions have similar concepts. As other religions announce strickest of punishment for blasphemers,Islam also condems it by putting blasphemer to death. In Pakistan Blasphemy laws were introduced by General Zia ul Haq.Christians in Paksitan and all across the world with the support of Muslims protested against Da Vinci as they found it blasphemous
Saying things like Blasphemy Law have deprived minorities of religious freedom and violated their rights as citizens
is like being baseless and unaware of the real facts, because no religion preaches blasphemy.Infact all religions condemn it.Quoting Molana Ibtasam Ilahi Zaheer:"In quran para 19, first rakoo a whole incident has been mentioned where Holy Prophet himself killed a person who would make fun of his face.Naouzubillah."
Reference:Ummat newspaper 24 november 2010  page 3

If someone is charged of blasphemy,he or she should be taken to the court.Let the court decides him/her guilty. If he/she is convicted by court then no one else can repeal the law.LAws can be misused,I agree but we arenot wise enough to judge it.Nowadays,non-Muslims and Muslims even from Pakistan are talking about abondoning blasphemy law as it is the source of crushing minorities. I would like such people to answer me the following questions:
1.Why the making of minarates has been banned in some countries?
2.Why A lady shaheeda tul Hijab was murdered in COURT only cause she wanted to cover her head ?(no action was taken against the murderer)
3.Why in France you are not allowed to wear a head covering?
4.Why in US you are forced to get bodily screened-it shows your body nude. Why dont they respect about our concerns?isnt it insulting?

Now people say that religion and state both are different. They say that while thinking of Paksitan keep Islam aside. They have forgotten may be,that Pakistan was formed on the name of Allah. It is not only a piece of land for which our ancestors sacrfices their lives-but it is a place which we got to practise our religion Islam. It doesnot mean that minorities are given no importance. They are free in here,They can worship their gods, can build their temples and churches.10 seats are reserved for religious minorities in constitution of Paksitan.Even people of Paksitan show love and affection by celebrating christmas etc.Malls are public places are decorated with misletoes and baubles. Then how can anyone question about rights of minorties in Paksitan?

I think I'm clear enough in defending my point of view.Everyone is welcomed to share their views but please no hate speech as you ca not notice any here.

NOTE: Ibtisam Elahi Zaheer is Secretary General of Jamat Ahle Hadis Pakistan. His quote included in this post couldnot be varified.Author is trying to contact the newspaper and the scholar for rectification/explanation.Kindly accept the apologies for the mental trouble and annoyance. Thanks

Update:Author has finally managed to contact Ebtisam Elahi Zaheer. He has explained everything in detail with references. A very kind information that the Quote from him (incidence referred from Quran) was definitely right and authentic. All those readers who were too arrogant to hear anything earlier must read the next post. Its a request that next time before passing any harsh comments to anyone i.e calling someone a blasphmere one should think very carefully.YOU SHOULD BELIEVE SCHOLARS OF TIME!Since you are not in a position with your limited knowledge to challenge them! This shall be a good lesson to those who are double in age than author but have learnt nothing from life experiences.May Allah help us all!

Big Boss needs to be banned.

Pakistani Culture is very unique in terms of its social and ethical values. These values are something which are given due importance. Islam in Pakistan set the code of ethics for the cultural life of Pakistan.Since the social and ethical values are  dictated by Islam, hugging, kissing, touching or any types of physical contacts with opposite sex are strictly forbidden. Violating or crossing the limits as described by Islam in any form may create chaos and big mental disturbance to the citizens of Pakistan. Therefore, Media should be very careful before broadcasting any program which may be in conflict with the cultural and ethical values of Pakistan.
Due to the emergence of cable networks subjects which once were taboo have now become a routine discussion and the envelop of acceptability has been pushed even further. Despite this liberation the network standards and practices department should still exercise some caution. Local stations also exercise self-regulation. Occasionally a local station decides that a network show is in appropriate for their audience and decline to show it.
However, Pakistani media and PEMRA seem to appear as if they have closed their eyes towards the broadcasting of  BIGBOSS openly for Pakistani population. Big Boss contains the content which is contradictory to Pakistani societal norms and culture. Appearance of Veena Malik and her open mindedness is the most conflicting and disturbing genre of this show to Pakistani society.
According to Pemra code of ethics no programme or advertisement can be aired, which contains element of pornography, obscenity or indecent or is likely to corrupt public morality

 Bigg Boss & Pakistan:

1. Catfights, abuses, cheap slang words and vulgarity – the reality show "Bigg Boss" is packed with adult content in the garb of entertainment.

2. In Islam it is strictly forbidden for the “Na mehrams” to live below a single roof together. Program BIGBOSS can be easily rejected at this point. It is an Indian program with Indian celebrities. Hindu culture is focus of the show which is totally opposite with Islamic values.

3. Dress codes are given no attention. Skin fitted dresses showing bosoms and body figure is not allowed in Islam.

4. This program openly shows open interaction of opposite sexes. Hugging and kissing anytime is a common feature. Moreover, romantic language is also used often in the program by the contestants who are also not considered good according to Pakistani cultural and ethical values.

5. This program is not family friendly. It may pollute young minds. Big boss content in dressing, language and in every other aspect is not suitable for our society.

Moreover,Indian also media played a wonderful tact to gain maximum profit by deciding to involve Pakistani celebrities in BIG BOSS 4. Veena Malik is the most conflicted and a dislikable personality of Pakistan. She knows how to stay in the media and gets everyone’s attention. In big boss 4 too, she has committed serious crimes, if judged according to the ethics and values of the culture/religion she belongs to. As she is a Pakistani contestant, the show big boss is getting very famous in Pakistan, therefore the cable TV channels and Pakistani satellite channels ARY are broadcasting all the episodes. It is a source of corrupting the young generation as well as hurting the family values. Big boss is allegedly creating bad taste in the prime time of family.

Bigboss is being considered unethical even in India .A local court has issued notice to the Chief executive.Officer of Colors channel on a petition demanding immediate ban on the 'Big Boss 4' reality show.As it telecasted some very unethical scenes of two contestants at the show which offended Indian culture. For details click here
It is proved by the mentioned facts that Big Boss is a program not suitable for Pakistani population. It contradicts extremely with the moral, religious and cultural values of Pakistan.Big Boss should be banned immediately as it is violating the codes and conduct of Pakistani electronic media. Cable operators should also be instructed to stop delivering it to their subscribers.Until it is completely banned, there is no other way to protect the society from the resulting damage which may harm the norms of Pakistani culture.

Pakistan wins the cyber war-Pakistan Zinda Bad

After a very long time of disappointment from Paksitan's government there is a happy news from Pakistan Cyber Army. Its really a blast of happiness.PCA hacked CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation)-A top civilian website of India. It was a response to a cyber war began by India.Almost 40 Paksitan's government websites were hacked by India and in a response Pakistan hacked 270 indian websites along with CBI.

I agree,Its a war which leads no where but our enemies should know that we are not weak. WE WERE ASLEEP BUT NOT DEAD! "we donot interfere anyone, but if you poke your legs in our affairs,we know how to rip them apart!" So,watch your head or we know how to behead our enemeies :D!

According to the IT experts, there are hundreds of highly professional hackers operating in both the countries. However, H2O and Hindustan Hackers Organistaion(famous hacking teams of India) admit that at cyber-front, Pakistan had always been winning the war. The two prominent Pakistani hacker groups are Pakistan Hackers Club (PHC) and G-Force. The founder of PHC is claimed to be Karachi-based while G-Force, consisting eight members, is from Lahore. My special prayers and best wishes to both of these groups. May Allah help you and increase your strength.
Here is a screen shot of the website: A must read for every loving Pakistani.

I loved the warning by PCA: "Stop complaining about PAkistani websites security, first protect your own ASS, stop this war you started or else we will make your internet hell"

Atleast now they enjoyed a good thrashing.Donot poke your nose, it will not benifit you.We are not weak and are not afraid of anyone. You should think a thousand time before hitting Paksitanis the next time :D!
PAKISTAN-ZINDABAD!

P.S: I was informed that my favorite page "Young Paksitan" has also been hacked with the profiles of seven admins.I condemn it.If Indians are not going to stop it, then we shall keep giving them mind blowing, services, and they will drop their jaws off!

Sindhi Cultural Day-Love & Peace for all

Pakistan is a country enriched with various cultures and traditions yet very beautiful.Sindhi culture displays beautifully the combination of love and colours. It teaches peace, sanity and equality like all the cultures of Pakistan. The roots of Sindhi culture go back to the Indus Valley Civilzation-A civilization which will always be remembered as an icon of modernism.Sindhi culture is considered one of the world's oldest culture.Sindhi literature is rich in precious prose and poetry.Sufi poets Shah abdul LAtif Bhittai and Sachal Sarmast of sindh have given the lesson of peace and love for all.Sindh is also known as Babul Islam as islam enetered in sub-continet via Sindh.

Today Sindhi cultural day was celebrated across the province with zeal and zest to mark its importnace. The days was marked with rallies, corner meetings and musical evenings.Celebration of cultural days at local/national level are very important for the survival of a nation. It keeps reminding us about our roots. It keeps us motivated and make us feel proud on our identity. Moreover,it also bring other diversities of the country closer.Culture of sindh is rich in colours.People of sindh are welcoming,warm-hearted and peace loving people. They are famous because of high level of respect they give to others. Its a tradition that if you visit a Sindhi he will gift you a Sindhi topi and Ajrak as a token of respect and love.

Cultural days should be celebrated all across the country and shoulnot be confined to a province or two.It will be much more beautiful if all Pakistan celebrates all of her cultures nationally on one single day.We should tell the whole world that we are the people who love peace and are spreading the colours of happiness. We live and let others livE!

Producing a documentary-Chatpata Karachi.

It was a fine cool evening.Dark sky embedded with stars was definitely going to make our time memorable. Though it was natural of us to feel nervous and tensed, excitement was still at peak.
We four with our cameraperson "LALA RUKH"(The only female cameraperson of Pakistan, who formerly worked at Geo TV network) eneterd in car to move ahead. Our destination was Boat Basin's Food Street.

A month back we were assigned to produce a 10 minutes documentary on any interesting topic. We all know that Paksitani population donot welcome documentaries very well. Therefore the most tough job for us was the selection of a topic. We wanted a topic which could attarct anyone's attention and would make them glued with the screen until it ends. After few disputes, we all selected a topic "Chatpata Karachi". Yes, now its your turn to imagine about all those sizzling spicy foods, sweet aromas, and mouth watering foods of Karachi.

Yummy spicy Chicken karahi, tasty glistening Nehari, Simply a piece of art-showarma etc were the tempting sights and treat to our taste buds.Decent desi style set-up with wooden takhats and pillows in an open air food street were quite welcoming for us.However, today we were out not for thrusting up our tummies with these uncountable "mon u salwa" but to shoot a documentary. Lala Rukh fetched me back from my fantasy world where i was a queen and my royal servants were serving me B.B.Q in gold plates and silver crockery.

Lala Rukh placed her tripod stand and fixed camera to take some best shots, covering the food street. We learnt how to take angles, close shots and long shots. We then got busy in taking interviews from the people who were enjoying the delicious food.It was our first experience of immediate interaction with so many different people but it was simply awesome. We also met a couple of French and it was fun talking with them. I loved when one of them,so full of energy, said. "I love Pakistan, and Pakistani food".

After the food street we covered Lal qila restaurant and few others. It was a fun filled experience under the leadership of experienced and a polite camera person Lala Rukh!

I love Karachi!

Colours of Autumn.

Ilove autumn but my luck i have never enjoyed autumn in real *sighs*.Pakistan has four seasons but i donot think that autumn with its full colours ever come in Pakistan.Similarly being the khi-iet i have neither enjoyed full winters nor autumn and spring. Its 10 months summer, one month warm-up for winters :D and finally winters for A month only
I have a little collection of autumn pictures from different parts of the world and i pray for all of you who feel like being at these places, that may Allah bring us all there where all the weathers are at their full blooms.

War of glamour by Pvt Media sector

Since after the bombardment of private TV channels over Pakistani media a war of fashion and glamour has been started. Our norms and values which are the speciality of eastern culture, seem to be disappeared somewhere in the debris of nudity and unethical advertisements(mostly inspired from the neighbouring country).

The family friendly network PTV has also lost its value and viewrship in the past few years. All the good writers, directors and producers moved towards the private media sector.Though the technology has improved and the quality of work has been enhanced, we are still coming down instead of going up.Pakistan is unfortunately a third world nation but the drama industry of Pakistan which is no doubt quite flourishing these days gives totally an opposite view of Pakistan.A state with 15.20% (2009 est)of unemployment, and 12.69% (june 2010)inflation,cannot bear the unnecessary load of glamour.A nation where interest rate is 13% and exchange rate is 86.1200 with the promotion of rich and wealthy culture (confined to the limited population of pakistan) can not build mentally healthy children for the future of our society.A World Bank report titled ‘Sparing lives, better reproductive health for poor women in South Asia’ has revealed that Pakistan’s 37.4 per cent children under the age of five are malnourished. With such alarming rate of poverty and unemployment how can we expect that our MODERN drama industry isnot widening the gap between haves and havesnot?

Policies have changed and rules have been modified after the private sector jumped to occupy its space.Westernization is now considered as modernization.Well-fournished glamourous buildings, lavishly designed expensive costumes and dolls like models lay a negative impact on the minds of people belonging to middle-class families. It gives birth to the world of fantasy and imagination in the subconsious of growing children. In old times elederly people would keep an strict eye on the reading habbits and reading material of the children in order to protect them from unethical and bad literature. This effort would be made only to build a mentally and physically a healthy child.Similarly, same should be done in this fastest world of electronic media where thousands of channels are just a pressing of a button away.

Moreover, parents should be very careful about the cartoons their kids watch.Chota bheam and Hanuman, are the cartoons made for indian children as it promotes Hiduism. It must be a good effort of indian media for their children, not for us.It is noticed, that Pakistan has now become a land where everyone has closed his/her eyes from their responsibilities including sacred relations like parents and teachers. As a result our children know more about Hinduism than Islam. When parents dance on a movie song infront children, than what else can we expect from such children except bad attitude, lack of respect for elders and bad language?

These are the growing fears which should be thought upon,if we want a BETTER PAKISTAN!

Humair Ishtiaq or "HI-tler"?

Have you ever seen "HITLER" conducting a course "creative writing"?Oh yes!we the students of Mass Com KU are blessed with this honor. He is "HUMAIR ISHTIAQ"-our teacher, commonly known as "HI" but we prefer to call him "HI-Tler".It may be a fortune or a misfortune, that he has been assigned third time to us.He possesses all the qualities which even real Hitler would have dreamed for.

Humair Ishtiaq.Credit :Ayesha Ahmad
His supressed smiles, long thick moustaches, puffy hair cut and a rectangular frame at nose are enough to impress the innocent newbies of the university. They just donot know that after few months they will be mocking hard at their fates that this person with the geeky looks is a Hitler inside. No doubt with all of these qualities he still manage to engage the students with light fun which inturns create a healthy and a friendly atmosphere.Contrary to his occasional lectures, his routine lectures are more like lessons to the young army soldiers.Ah! young soldiers who have to bear this HI-tler all the time and have to accept everything as it is.The lecture hall in his presence seems like a "TORTURE CELL" where students cant even dare to utter a word-yet asking questions is a far-fetched idea.

He also bears some kind qualities in him which offcourse doesnot suit him =D.If historical war hero Hitler comes and see those kind qualities in him then he will shoot(us,not him).So what if kindness is a trait which has nothing to do with him all the year long?He shows much of it ALWAYS during exams-doesnt matter even if they are just the "PASS-MARKS".What does a blind want, two eyes?So we want MARKS only:D There is a simple solution to this issue.Hi-tler isnot interested in whatever the rubbish we write in the exam copies, similarly we are also not interested in attending his lectures. We know we will get 50/100.kind enough,eh ;D?

Lets see after reading this humourous article on him, which award does Hi-tler decide to decorate my shoulder with!! =P

P.S:We had our mid-term exam today in which we were asked by Humair Ishtiaq to write an observational humour on him.We had only 30 mins and 30 marks to write for.I could only come up with this. I know its more satirical than humour:D Awaiting your comments and thoughts!!

Karachi: On the hit list again

I found in my home-came from some unknown direction
Metroploitian city Karachi is again on the hit list of terrorists.More than 80 people have been deprived of their lives. Is this the city karachiiets were proud on?A search opeartion will now be conducted in sensitive areas of karachi.

It was such a horrible feel for me to watch the very famous and over crowded places of karachi on Tv- not crowded with people going offices, colleges and universities but with an air of horror and intense firing, burnt tyres and violence.Like every other peaceful citizen I also wish for the safety of Karachi and khiiets.Sometimes i think that we are more unlucky as comapre to people of Afghanistan,Kashmir,Bosnia and Palestine. They are in the clutches of enemies-whom they can easily recognize. But what about the innocent people of karachi, who are the residents of an independent state but are in more danger than them.

We donot know that when a bullet from an unknown direction would come and pass through piercing our hearts!!I live in a safe area guarded by the armed guards 24/7 hours.Still it doesnot matter when you live in a horrible and hate mongering city like karachi.TWO bullets from some where came in our home in these two days. Thanks to Allah that all of us are safe.

Karachi being the economic hub of the country should be free from target killings and all sort of riots. Unfortunately government has failed to controll the situation.I donot see any point in avoiding ARMY.People of karachi will be relaxed and the terrorists will be caught.Pakistan Army also belongs to Paksitan and we have trained them for the same time.It should be no shame for government to call army in karachi. We all know that POLICe is the most corrupt department and if it it is removed than ratio of crime will be down to 50%.Anyhow i pray that real terrorists be caught and punished terribly for all their crimes.(one of my far-fetched dream,i know)
What do you think?

Kala Bagh Dam:Why we must build it

Courtesy:Weed Media

According to the Indus Basin Treaty signed in 1960 between India and Pakistan, we had to surrender the three eastern rivers of Sutlej, Bias and Ravi, and were allowed to build reservoirs and dams on the Western rivers of Indus, Jhelum and Chenab. Pakistan was forced to accept an unjust principle of replacing perennial stream water, with man made reservoir water, which had inherent complications.

Today we are facing acute water shortage, and are facing El Nino effect as well, due to climatic changes resulting from the elimination of certain biological organisms. Our population growth rate is around 2%, which is one of the highest in the region. It is estimated that by 2025, Pakistan would become the fourth most populous country in the world. Imagine how hard it would become to feed such a big population with the shortage of resources, when we are already facing problems in providing basic necessities to the existing ones.

Indian Role
Since independence India has been creating problems for Pakistan in terms of the natural resources. For instance the Indus Basin Treaty and now a barrage on river Chenab, through which India would be able to stop or regulate water flow to Pakistan whenever it desires against the provisions of the treaty. On river Jhelum we have already built Mangla dam, which provides electricity and irrigation water for the entire country, through a network of barrages and link canals etc. Leaving these two rivers, the only other dependable source which seems to be outside the grip of India is the river Indus, over which we have built Tarbela dam, which stores only 15% of its water obtained mainly through snow melts in the Himalaya.

Silting of Dams
However the problem is that the lake of Tarbela is silting heavily and this silt load is estimated at 554000 tons per day. This amount of silt cannot be taken out from any reservoir; even if it is supposedly taken out, the problem would be where and how to store it. A silt delta has been formed in the reservoir having width between 31-65 Kms and 68 meters deep, located at 14 kms from the main embankment due to the sedimentation process. WAPDA has been able to contain movement of this silt delta so far, which otherwise could have moved in and choked all power generating turbines due to the seismic activity in the area. The danger is still there and in this regard Tarbela will not be able to serve as a multi-purpose reservoir and will only be suitable for irrigation purposes.

Controversy Surrounding Kalabagh Dam
It is stated that by the time Bhasha dam is completed, in 2016, the usefulness of Tarbela would almost have gone. The only economic option left at our disposal is Kalabagh dam, which is already late and has become controversial mainly due to socio-political misunderstandings, selfish assumptions, misgivings and apprehensions amongst the people of various provinces in the country.

Ironically, all the governments starting from late Z.A Bhutto, in order to lengthen their stay in power, have always avoided this technically feasible and economically sound option, which was declared to be a better site than Tarbela in the 1960s. Tarbela was brought on line first due to political considerations and preferences. It is, therefore, natural to think that national interests have been compromised. Jeopardized and manipulated for the sake of handful people with personal interest.

By year 2050, about 2/3 of the world population could be plagued by water scarcity. It is interesting that while water scarcity is strictly becoming severe, yet in most water-scarce regions large quantities of water flow into the sea remain unutilized.

Technical and Socio-Political Issues
The constraints in the implementation of Kalabagh dam can be describes as technical and socio-political. Almost all technical issues and concerns raised by the upper and lower reparians have been taken care of in the shape of design adjustments, while the socio-political factors remain unsolved to date, and are being exploited by those having vested interests. There are also misplaced fears in the general public of flooding of Peshawar valley and Nowshera along with negative impact on the drainage in areas of Mardan, Pabbi and Swabi. Lower reparians feared desertification of Sindh, non-availability of surplus water to fill the Kalabagh reservoir, negative effects on cultivation of riverian areas, sea water intrusion, mangrove forests and diminishing of fish resources below Kotri.

Concerns regarding Kalabagh Dam have been fully analyzed by WAPDA an almost all of them are not sustainable considering the magnitude of benefits available to a large population of this cursed country. Benefits also include availability of water for entire Rabi, sowing and maturing of Kharif crops, 2600MW electricity and flood alleviation between downstream and Indus-Punjab confluence. The Water Appointment Accord of 1991 reflects consensus of all the four provinces over issues of new storage on Indus and other rivers. This should serve as the starting point for the construction of Kalabagh dam. The World Bank has funded projects like SCARP and NDP, which were to the tune of billions of dollars, but they failed to bring about desired economic benefits to Pakistan, because of wrong assumptions, corruption, malpractices and misplaced interests of the World Bank managers.

The severity of recent flooding in Khyber-Pakhtunkhawa is a direct result of excess water coming from the rivers. Kalabagh Dam would have prevented this catastrophe. Dams like Kalabagh would allow for better water management. Dams could direct the water flow to the world’s largest canal system and take it away from the flood pains. The loss of lives of around 500 people must be attributed to those who have opposed Kalabagh Dam and other such projects. Nationalist political parties in Sind and KP are major culprits. Due to their opposition to the dams for selfish personal gains, they must be taken to the task by those who have suffered as a result.

There is no denying the fact that in addition to bringing adown population growth rate and making Kalabagh dam, other feasible reservoir sites must also be exploited to utilize the invaluable Indus water, for irrigation and power generation, which flows almost unused into the Arabian Sea during summers. This is our lifeline and the only option for our economic survival.

Therefore, introduction of effective demand management through adaptation of mechanism for forecasting water availability is needed for adjusting water demand to water availability and developing criteria for water allocation.

Victory or a long-term Loss?

Though Pakistan has won the cricket match yesterday but my heart is still sad. When all the nation is busy in celebrating the victory ,I found myself lost in thoughts. All my friends,(most of them)are unhappy of me because I'm the source of spoiling their fun.Why I'm different? One answer: I've got a very sensitive heart. I donot like partying on little things when we have many other issues to be anxious at.
I prefer long term results rather than being happy on short-term  incidents' of happiness.

The news of cricket match victory came at such a time, when Punjab government was taking back the facilities of buying new instruments from medical colleges and government hospitals as government lack funds for education. They are now even restricted to get the old fragile instruments repaired.I don't belong to any medical college and so i have no personal associations with this field. But i do have associations with the education of Pakistan , i do have associations with the future of Pakistan.Every sensitive citizen is compelled to think that where are we going? We have worth Rs 500000 to bestow every Cricketer when they win.Above all, it doesn't matter whether they are winning or losing they are still to get lots of money. They are involved in every crime, whether it be the illegal usage of drug or match fixing. All our love is for cricketers.

To me it seems more like a conspiracy where we our minds are directed to enjoy and party on cricket which is only an entertainment. We can easily calculate the down fall of a nation who prefer entertainment over infotainment/education.If we wish to progress, then we need to bring a change in our priorities!

What do you think it is Victory or a long term loss?
