Map"S" of Pakistan- which one should be our identity?

Since childhood we all are well aware of our Map. We know that earlier Pakistan had four provinces, and now five. Jammu and Kashmir would be shown as the "disputed area" in the official maps. At the time we got independence, Quaid gave us  Pakistan in the following geographical form:

Is this just me or have you also noticed the change in our map? Now almost all the world is showing the map of Pakistan, excluding the disputed area of "Jammu kashmir". Who has given the rights to world of bringing any amendments in our map by the way? Why do we accept every cruel decision of the world silently? We are the nation of 18 carore people. Why we all are tongue-tied? Whether Kashmir belongs to Pakistan or India- its another dispute.Kashmir is equally "disputed territory" for India as well.

Even if  Kashmiris want freedom and don't want to be the part of either side, it doesn't mean that Kashmir doesn't exist!! Kashmir is still present on the map of this world so it must be present in the map of Pakistan/India as a disputed territory.

I got a strange shock when i noticed a group/page "Jago-The-Evolutionary-Awakening", who claims to be a visionary group of Mass communication and MBA students is also advocating such a low standard thought of eliminating Kashmir from the map of Pakistan. Have a look on their logo:
Discussing on this issue with their admins, i found out that they believe in the independence of Kashmir and has left the decision of Kashmir on "fate". I was even more shocked that if you are letting things on fate to decide, then why are you yourself being so over smart to endorse your decision even before the fate has? If Indians have not removed Kashmir part from their map then why should us? It will remain a disputed state unless they get freedom from the brutal, soul less, heartless and ruthless army of "Bharat". So what if the world map shows Kashmir as undisputed territory? We still standby with our claim that Kashmir belongs to Pakistan!! we have not yet gifted Kashmir to hindus, then what is this map change for?According to them, my point of view is extremely childish, immature and emotional.Dear readers, i am creating a poll and would like to know your opinion. If you-youth of Pakistan also prefer to seal their lips on this case, then I will be left with only one option- To commit "Moral Suicide".

UPDATE: jago has changed their profile picture after this post. Here is the new one. I am glad and consider it my achievement :)

UPDATE 2: Jago has once again changed their profile picture with the old one. They were quite angry with this post and me calling their DP change my achievement. Child's attitude, immature ;) You can read their comments below this post!

Kashmiris will continue to lay down their precious life till the accession with Pakistan. They (Kashmiris) are fighting for the stable Pakistan and they would fight till last for this sacred mission to frustrate the enemy in his ambitious design.

I didn't know about this until i read your post. Sad, it is.

i really didnt notice it!!! its really a shock.who has given these ppl the right to remove kashmir from the map?? u are v right in saying that kashmir is still an undisputed territory so why are we thinking that by excluding it from our map, we are giving thm freedom to choose between us or india..pathetic. thx for pointing it out

Being a Kashmiri I must thank you for your post, Pakistani youth need to know much about Kashmir issue and drawbacks which most of them don't know. Please visit http://beaconofknowledge.blogspot.com/2011/02/kashmir-divided-land.html
You will find some realities regarding the issue. Please note that Gilgit-Baltistan is not fifth province but a semi independent territory under federal overnment. Actually Pakistan had surrendered on Kahsmir front when they first detached Northern Areas from disputed territory violating their own stance. The territory under Pakistan is nearly 40% of the territory under India, so both countries are quite content with the present situation. In 1997 even our state channel PTV aired the same flag which you are talking about excluding Jammu and Kahsmir from it, our private channels are continuously doing the same, so now it may not be an issue for most of Pakistanis. By the way thanks for writing on such emotional issue.

There is always RICH food for thought from your pen, dear ReeBz...

Meantime, I'd also love to see you write about a global and/or non-national identity sometime if you feel so inclined? I feel that along with many other identities we each hold is this one which makes us part of the human community under One God - One Love...

"Yaaran e Jahan Kehtay Hain Kashmir Hai Jannat, Jannat Kisi Kafir Ko Mili Hai Na Milay GI !!!"

Although, I spent several years of my life in Lahore, Pakistan but because I was born in Kashmir,Pakistan. I can't understand why don't we have right to vote in the National Assembly of Pakistan. I also hate the law assembly elections of Kashmir because these force the citizen of Kashmir to chose a government which have their own President and Prime Minister and this make me feel that we are not part of Pakistan.

I believe in Khilafah and wish to see Muslims united.

"O you who believe! Fear Allah as He should be feared and die not except in a state of Islam with complete submission to Allah. And hold fast, all of you together, to the rope of Allah (i.e. Qur'an), and be not divided among yourselves; and remember with gratitude Allah's favors on you; for you were enemies and He joined your hearts in love, so that by His Grace you became brothers; and you were on the brink of the pit of fire, and He saved you from it. Thus Allah make His signs clear to you that you may be guided." [Surah Al'Imran (3); ayah 102-103]

Peerless thanks for the correction about provincial issue. Your comment is rich in info and i will definitely visit your blog.I didn't know until i read your comment that even PTV is also involved wittingly in this blunder!

thanks for the appreciation, but being a Pakistani i think that Pakistanis have to suffer from so many uncountable troubles that we donot have enough time to write even for own problems. Therefore writing for global issues is a far farfetched idea. however, I will be happy if one day I will be writing on global issues.I need to increase my knowledge first :)
Thanks for the affection once again!

Eyewitness:I can understand what you feel. However i am glad that as a kashmiri you want to feel a part of pakistan! :)

A lively and certainly positive dialogue you've once again nurtured and allowed to go on, dear ReeBz.

This may be quite different yet with so many years of disappointments and travesties within and without our own gov/nation (The USA) I am helped from incurable sadness and feelings of deep powerlessness by more and more adopting connections with people worldwide. (This includes traditions and "believers" in the One Creator - which comes so naturally via Allama Iqbal and ALL the blog-writers here at the RR blog.)

Thank you for allowing these connections with Kashmiri neighbors and with me, an American yet more than that....:)

Dear Writer!

Nice effort it is! But some of your claims seriously need to be rectified.

First - You have very smartly misinterpreted our (as you said) 'declaration' of letting the "fate" decide Kashmir's future. At least we believe on their freedom of making a choice to live, unlike you, who was the first person to declare their future telling us that we have GRANTED it to Hindus. How can you grant it to any nation when you yourself is not the OWNER? You further adds that while Hindustan hasn't excluded it from their MAP then why should we do that... Miss! grow-up! You are not a nursery going kid who copies what the competitor is doing. You should think of doing something different to bring a change for the betterment of the mankind rather than jumping on the band-wagon of cry babies!

Secondly! You shouldn't have declared your 'self-proclaimed' achievement on your blog while we didn't even know that you posted this blog after your first discussion until you told us that you wrote something. And here, you are claiming that we have changed our profile picture after reading your post? HELLO?

JAGO said...

The new profile picture was just a part of our regular activities and if you have bothered to see our profile pictures, you'll notice that we have had other pictures too. Also, we have never changed our LOGO (as said by you), it was and will always be JAGO written in red color. Was just wondering if you knoww the difference between a 'logo' and an 'image/ profile picture/ poster etc' :)

Lastly, we highly respect and love our Kashmiri fellows and have seen them since long, shedding blood over this Indo-Pak dispute. Our view is that they should have the right to choose between being a part of any of these countries or a seperate independent nation. No one hates independence and they would want it too..Even if they want to be a part of Pakistan, then they are most welcome and we Pakistanis would love to have Kashmir as an addition to the map. But before all these ifs and buts, it would be better to first give them that freedom to think and decide their future with peace as they have the FIRST right to make a decision for themselves.

We'll be grateful if you could write some productive write-up in future and if you could post our comments as they are without editing them.

P.S - Read this as it may broaden your vision for a while,

I don't care what the rest of the world thinks about Kashmir, but being a citizen of Azad Jammu & Kashmir I believe that this state is a part of Pakistan and we are grateful to Allah (S.W.T) that we are united.

Perhaps, you might have read the national anthem of Azad Kashmir, which clearly states that we are united with Pakistan.

Another lost soul, I'm sorry to use some harsh words, you may please delete my comment if you want to. First of all India is not about only Hindus as you have mentioned in your posts. It's a secular country with more Muslims then Pakistan. Also, Kashmir was and will always be an integral part of India. Due to deceptive politics of Nehru we gifted half of Kashmir to brutal forces. But now we won't crumble again and any movement against the Indian State will be met with cold arms. And, you are calling the same Indian army brutal who in Kargil with all state honors sent the corpse of your soldiers back, the same soldiers whom your government turned down to accept even as Pakistani soldiers. Pakistan was formed after a horrendous killing of millions of innocent men and women and still the same is happening there. And stop worrying about extending your country map, it's just a matter of time Taliban will conquer you and then you will ask for our help. India and Indians have always loved peace, but every time Pakistan ditched us by inciting anti-state forces and giving them safe haven in their territory. Even the world has realized the true nature of Pakistan after the America search operation against the Osama who was hiding in your country.

Love peace not war.

Dear JAGO, its my place, so you donot need to be rude or offensive here. What is your thinking and metal level i have been already aware of, so please donot try to worsen your level in my eyes even more by using bad language :)

Secondly i dint misinterpret anything, i simply and clearly wrote here that you let fate to make all the decisions.

thirdly, there was no need of informing you about this post, since i told you even before making this post that i will feature you in my next article and you didnot request me to share it with you :)

try giving his commenst a read, it will help YOU in broadening your views. kabhi APNI shakal dekhi hey?

Rachit it will be useless to talk with you. since we both are the passengers of totally different boats which row in different dimensions.

If you think that you had been betrayed by us, we have the similar feelings for you about the very same case.

Why donot you feel like commenting on my post http://springofautumn.blogspot.com/2011/06/there-is-no-gift-better-than-friendship.html?

You will get to read all what we think about hindus or your secular state INDIA :) you will also get to know what your hindu fellows has to say about us, the brotherly nation, Muslims :)

So judge yourself who loves the peace more, we or you :)?

think with brain not with burned hay which you have kept hidden in your skull :)Try replacing it with brain sometime, or you may take some part of brain from your fellow hindus on rent ;)

Sorry for being offensive, you cant delete my comment, but well you can delete them from your mind, if you have any :)

You're so welcome , sister.

I am also thankful to you that you brought my attention towards the attempts of changing the map of Pakistan.

This time I have brought a few questions for those Indians who assume that Kashmir is a part of India.

1. We all know the fact that citizens of Indian held Kashmir keep immigrating to Pakistan and their number makes up to 1.7 million of Pakistan's population. Would Indians ever like to tell the world about the causes of these immigrations. If there is more peace in India why is it not being felt by citizens of (Indian held)Kashmir?

2.Why do they keep immigrating to Pakistan?

3. When these poor Kashmiri immigrants manage to reach the control line of Azad Kashmir, Pakistan, this land of peace always provides them shelter. And we people of Azad Kashmir, Pakistan always greet them and this is all because of our natural brotherly relation with Kashmiris. They neither bring Indian passports with them nor the visas to enter Azad Kashmir,Pakistan.
Does not it make clear that people of both sides of Kashmir relate themselves to Pakistan?

4. I am a citizen of Kashmir, if Indian authorities truly consider Kashmir a part of India and me a citizen of a state of India would they ever let me enter India without a visa to India and without a passport of Pakistan?

Fact is that Indians only wish to own Kashmir not it's Muslim citizens.

Dear Writer!

Response to your first point - Agreed that it's your blog but if you can't handle criticism or a thought process against your thought process then don't bother to write nonsense articles about others and about subjects which are highly important and critical than your little mind frame. When you cannot understand and respect our opinions you have no right to share yours against us - even at your own blog.

We can only request you to broaden your vision and your ability to read between the lines. We Alhamdolillah are living a respectful life so we are not really bothered about where we stand in front of you as for us, you doesn't have that standing that would make us concerned actually. As we also have seen your level we would just want to say that YES we have seen our shakal quite well so we really don't need your recommendation. You should rather try and see yours - you would be glad if you did so.

JAGO said...

Again misinterpreting what we wrote - to what you have said 'BAD Language' trying to prove us wrong and low-category people again, is a title of an excellent piece written by an excellent writer of ET (only if you bother to follow other blogs you would know what's happening around you). If you would have read the article and would have understood what we meant by saying "kabhi apni Shakal Dekhi Hai" - You wouldn't have written such senseless response. Hence, proved there's no point of arguing with you again as you are living in your own world of thoughts where you are least bothered to listen and understand the point of your opponent and rather end up passing absurd comments in response. What we wrote and what you wrote in response is quite clearly a signal that you need to grow-up actually.
Also, we don't need to see our shakal at one representative of Kashmir while we can many others who demand a separate state. And if you really want Kashmir to be a part of Pakistan then first help make Pakistan a better place to live in. So then, even Kashmiris would feel proud of being a part of it.

We request you to post our comments as they are - Again!

Peace!

Personally, I wish to see Muslims united under the flag of Khilafah.

"Iss daur main may aur hai, jaam aur hai, jum aur

Saaqi ne bina ki rawish-e-lutf-o-sitam aur

Muslim nai bhi ta’ameer kia, apna harum aur

Tahzeeb ke azar ne trishwai sanam aur

In taza khudaon main baRa sab se watan hai

Jo pairhan iss ka hai, woh mazhab ka kafan hai

Yeh but keh tarasheeda-e-tahzeeb-i-navi hai

Gharat gar-e-khashan-e-deen-i-nabawi hai

Baazu tira tawheed ki quwwat se qawi hai

Islam tira dais he, tu Mustafawi hai!

Nazzara-e-deerana zamanay ko dikha dai

Ai Mustafawi, khaak main iss but to mila dai

Ho qaid-maqaami to nateeja hai tabahi

Rah bahar main azad-e-watan, soorat-e-maahi

Hai tark-e-watan sunnat-e-Mahboob-e-Ilaahi

Dai tu bhi nabuwwat ki sadaqat peh gawahi

Guftaar-e-siyasat main watan aur hi kuch hai

Irshaad-e-nabuwwat main watan aur hi kuch hai

Aqwaam-e-jahan main hai raqabat, to issi sai

Taskheer hai maqsood-e-tijarat, to issi sai

Khaali hai sadaqat sai siyasat, to issi sai

Kamzor ka ghar hota hai gharat, to issi sai

Aqwam main makhlooq-e-khuda bat-ti hai iss sai

Qaumeat islam ki jaR kat-ti hai iss sai"
