As you all asked me to share few other poems, so here they are.one is in English and one is in Urdu which i wrote for "Pakistan"
some one asked me if I'm interested in Urdu poetry too,my answer to that, that I'm not very much into poetry whether English or Urdu, i just wrote few poems and i don't know how :P they just came into my mind themselves.if i force myself writing anything,i simply can not!
No doubt I wont forget,
In the midst of gloom,
It was you,
With whom I met.
You touched my heart
And changed my life,
Filled it with love
And made it bright
You used to care of all my thoughts,
And catch the tears before they drop
No doubt I wont forget,
The shine of your eyes
And the gentle touch of ur hands,
The love of ur heart
And the sweet smile you had
But all those woes and all those fears,
For which, I was afraid of,
Are near.
I don’t want to leave you,
But hold you tight
You are the real true friend,
I will miss you throughout my life.
Here goes the Urdu one!
Hamen shaheen banna he,
Sitaron pay ubharna hey,
Naya kuch azm karma hey,
Naya kuch raqm karma hey.
Badalni hey inhi hathon say,
Apney chamn ki qismat,
Badalney hen abi mosam,
Badalna hey faza-on ko,
Banain gay nai tareekh,
Sanwaren gay watan apna.
Hamen shaheen banna hey
Kamandain dal rakhi hen sitaron per,
Chalo ab faisla kar lo,
Watan jub bi pukarey ga
Watan ka saath den gay hum
Na choren gay ise tanha
na hon gay pasheman hum
watan ka sath dain gay hum,
watan ka sath den gay hum!

thanks for da feed back and for liking all my poems:)
castle of love
Walekumassalam,
so nice of you to pop in, it doesn't matter much if you couldn't manage to come earlier, just keep coming :)
Don't you think that the first one CAN also be addressed to Pakistan, especially the initial segments, such as:
No doubt I wont forget,
In the midst of gloom,
It was you,
With whom I met.
You touched my heart
And changed my life,
Filled it with love
And made it bright...
Khurram Sir,
Oh woww, yeah it really can be viewed in this perspective as well!
Its just this how you see it :)
I see it this way because Iqbal interpreted "Layla" as the soul of the nation (in his poetry, Layla or beloved is usually mentioned in that meaning). Thanks to him, the concept is so deep-rooted in our collective psyche that it keeps coming up in popular poetry even if we aren't conscious of it.
I learnt about www.google.com/traliterate/urdu tomorrow and saw this wonderful urdu poem today, so just attempted to write it urdu fonts with the help of google translitrate. This service can also be enabled in blogger post editor.
So, here is your poem please edit the orignal post and repost it with urdu fonts as well. Leave the roman letters as well.:
I typed wrong url , here is the correct one.

hey eyewitness
thanks alot. i think you have tried to write the urdu poem in urdu font? but as my mobile doesn't allow it, i can't see it:-(
aah.. we're trying hard to get a proper net connection here. pray that we soon get it. thanks.
Salaam, sister, I typed your poem in Urdu font. And its visible on internet explorer etc.
I myself blogged for a long time using my cellphone and even I entered the web and the blogsphere using my cellphone. I used to activate Zong's 2GB for 240 Rupees per month package and it was enough for me in those days. I am not sure which brand and model of cellphone you use, but I used to attach my Nokia N70 with my PC as well via bluetooth and and the 2GB package was enough for me for a whole month. No Youtube etc. just static sites.
Also must install Opera Mini or better Bolt browser from getjar.com on your cellphone until you get a connection for your PC. If you need more help on how to attach cellphone with PC let me know, I will also forward you the Zong settings as well but can you access your mail well?
Best Wishes,
Your Brother,
Ibn Hanif
Makkah Al Mukarmah
walekumsalam
Thanks for all these tips but i've recently completed my studies and i still consider myself a student, so i don't think i can afford these expensive internet packages with my limited pocket money:) i use warid and they are blocking opera mini as it uses less mbs as compared to other browsers.i definitely was in love with opera mini. these days i'm using bolt and its the most messy browser. but i've no other option as my cell doesn't support OS but java. i can't see that urdu font in bolt:-( i activate warid internet 10mb twice a month for rs 35 each time, and i get 10mb for free with my sms package. so this amount is enough for me. but i really want to get opera back!
You're right, As far as blogging from cellphones is concerned I have not found any match of Opera Mini.
You are certainly right in considering yourself a student. I think the whole period of school and college life just puts us on the track of learning. And I think only those who keep a firm connection with learning and teaching even after quitting the conventnal medium of learning are able to shine their and their fellow beings lives.
I am just a matriculate person with a few tech certificates and I think if I learnt something I learnt through my self studies and and that too without any particular syllabus.
And like you I myslf have been through several stages of small pocket money. And I think mostly it has been the case with some renowned scholor's of human history.
Personally, I feel if I will get materially rich most probably I will become spirtually poor, for if I will sleep on a "luxurious bed" I would not want to get up even on the louder knocks of conscience.
May Allah increase your love for beneficial knowledge, Ameen.
Your brother.
